The feelings are indescribable. We passed out school supplies and goods in the village, La
Ceiba 2. The people were so thankful for the food. The looks in the people's eyes; a mixture of
hope, love and thankfulness. When we opened the bags of school supplies, the children began
to run around like we had unveiled a brand new game. They were so thankful for the supplies.
Then we went to the Baptist Child Development Center. When we arrived they were having
recess. The guys in our group jumped into a game of soccer and began to play with the kids.
Later we sang to the children and they got into their bags of school supplies. The kids were
just ecstatic. We ate fruit covered in syrup with them. After arriving back at the hotel we found
out dinner was going to be pupusa's. They were amazing. Ruth, the hotel owner, is an excellent
cook. Taylor led the devotions. Finally the "card group" played a few games of Crowns as we
prepared for bed. Jon Davis

Today was another great day serving the Lord. We split the team up again sent half to VBS
and other half went to the construction site. At VBS we went over the story of Jonah and even
had a huge blown up whale. Then we did a craft and player soccer with the kids. At the
construction site we mixed cement, soaked and layed bricks and put together metal structures
for the Pastor's house. When we all get back to the hotel we showered quickly and then went to
the grocery store. After we bought enough food for 57 families. We also packed our bags that
we plan to leave down here. We ended the night with a great devotion and some fun games.

WOW! What an amazing day. It was probably one of the best days I have had so far. It started
out as a typical day with breakfast at 7:15 AM. I got to get up at 6:50 AM and help make lunch
for us. Today was a little different with the lunches. We split up the group. Half went to VBS at a
church and the other half went to construction. I went with construction and as soon as we got
there, they had me start laying bricks. I was totally out of my element. Thankfully though the
patience of Antonio (a worker from the site) and my Uncle John's guiding hand, I got the hang
of it and started laying bricks like a pro, not really. The rest of the work day consisted of laying
brick, laying mortar, soaking clay bricks, repeat several times, eat lunch then keep repeating
previous list. It was hard but fun. We got the wall up to about 4 and a half feet. i never shoveled
so hard in my life! I was happy, sad and tired when we left. Happy that I would get rest and sad
we were leaving. We picked up the VBS crew and went to the hotel. Alas there was one more
surprise for us. The church where one of our translators works invited us to dinner. When we
got there we introduced ourselves and they did the same. We continued the evening with
singing. They taught us songs and we taught them the same. Dinner consisted of mashed
beans & rice, eggs, cheese and coconut juice. After dinner the Pastor gave a great testimony
and the singing continued. It ended with Josh playing the guitar and singing. Needless to say
we left happy and tired.
Personal note: I miss you mom, dad, Lauren and Tyler. I am ok and having a great time. Can't
wait to see you. Love you guys! Ryan Woolard

WOW!!!! There's just something about Sunday!! When we woke up we got ready and set off
for church. The church service was great! The people were so passionate and expressive in
their love for Christ. While at church Pastor Antonio spoke on the "Supernatural Power of God"
and how we can have that on our lives. After church we ate at Pollo Campero. I've gotta say it
was the best fried chicken I have EVER had. Later, after we ate, we were given the opportunity
to visit the Mayan Ruins. They were incredible. To think that the structure was carved out of a
mountain over 1000 years ago. WOW!!!! We were able to relax and later took a tour of the
town. For dinner we went to......Pizza Hut where we celebrated "Ryan's Birthday". To finish our
date we had a unanimously vote to visit Dollar City (similar to Dollar Tree). When we finally got
home to our hotel, we were wore out and ready for bed. I am so excited to continue the work
God has allowed us to do here tomorrow.
Love and miss you all!!! Rachale Kidwell

Hey everyone back at home! Hope you all are enjoying the weather! We definitely are enjoying
the weather down here! God has been so good to us so far. We got through the traveling day
without a hitch. Thanks to everyone who was praying for that! We are now done with our first
day of work, and we are all sooooooo tired! However, we got so much done. We installed rhea
bar for the shower and wall today, as well as pouring concrete for the same. We are relaxing
now, and we have eaten some very delicious food! I have to say, I have noticed that the farther
south you go, the better the food gets!
About a half an hour after we first got here, Jon Merringer came up to me and told me to follow
him. I followed him into a room that had multiple guitars and microphones. I was so excited that
this was there! I played around with a couple of the workers at the hotel we are staying, and
eventually, we were even all singing "God of Wonders" together! God works in even some of
the smallest ways! Tonight, we got to break out into a "spontaneous" worship time with the
team, some workers, and even the owner of the hotel! We sang all of the songs that we had
been practicing to sing in Spanish. It was so awesome to see God at work!
Please keep praying for us as we go throughout the rest of the week! We still have quite a bit
of construction left to do, and we have only finished day one of our VBS. A group of us are
going to our translators' church tomorrow morning to do the same lesson that we did at the
village's church today. Please pray for them as they are going to be speaking a lot of Spanish!
We are having a blast down here, and we can't wait to tell you all of our stories! God is still
going to move in so many ways! I am very excited to see what He is going to do! I pray that
God's will be done, no matter the cost! I can't wait to see you all when we get home!
In Christ's Love, Josh Harshbarger
